Sneak Peek!

I have a total of 27 minutes to get ready before Liz and I head down to the city for Fashion's Night Out. Not nearly enough time, so this post will hace to be a quicky! We can't wait to meet our favorite bloggers and celebrities at tonight's events. I'm so nervous/excited that I'm practically shakingright now....anyway, I have to get dressed! Madewell, Made PERFECT

I saw this video a few weeks ago and I must be honest, I've already watched it a million times. It's the perfect inspiration for a fall wardrobe, September specifically. It has just the right amount of preppy, sophistication that all fall wardrobes should have! Madewell's Fall 2011 collection covers everything: leopard prints, chunky knits, pola dots, crisp button ups, mustard hues, and my favorite aspect of the video: ALEXA CHUNG. Can it really get any better than that? I think not.

It's Raining, It's Pouring...School is Boring.

Of course, with our luck, the weather could not have been more horrible for a first day of school.  In fact, it might be raining the entire first week.  Besides going through the long process of picking a first day outfit, this day was tragic. We went into school with high hopes and came out with wet hair and crushed spirits.  Although our schedules are jammed, we'll definitely make time for updating the blog, no worries! One upside to the school day will be our first year of black and white photography, so expect some artsy prints.  Notice our matching backpacks? Not on purpose, we swear!  Just goes to show that we are basically the same person.

School Night

We can officially say it's a school night! Tomorrow is a day I cannot say that I'm excited for, however, I look forward to getting back into somewhat of a routine.  Above are some of the looks that remind me school is not all bad, as long as I can re-create these, I think I'll make it through!  My last hurrah will be this morning; one last trip to the mall before I'll be weighed down with loads of work!  I'm praying for some good finds.  Enjoy your last day of freedom!

Anne Hathaway is clearly on the ball these days.  Not only does she have what looks like the most heartfelt movie ever coming out soon (One Day - along side cutie Jim Sturgess), but every website I go to has her on their best dressed list!  YOU GO ANNE. She also earns major points from me because she is an obvious fan of McQueen.  Who could blame her? The man was a genius. This post today was so close to being about fall and back to school, but luckily I found a photo of Anne that spared us all.  Now we can have one more day to pretend that the school year is not approaching.  Enjoy your last licks of summer!

Aftermath...Before School

Like many other east coasters, we've noticed the mess that hurricane Irene has left behind.  Lucky for us, it made for a good backdrop for today's post.  With the school year approaching, we decided to take a visit to the park we pass on the way home after classes are over.  We've been trying to wear a bit more of some fall inspired pieces as the summer comes to a close, and fashion week approaches.  However, it's safe to say the weather has barely cooled down and we were sweating beyond belief.  The fall colors we were wearing made us so thankful that fall is just around the corner!
