ELECTRICITY!

OH MY! Well I think we have all become sick and tired of hearing about Irene. So I'll hold off on the venting.  But let me just say that my power has been out for what feels like years 2 days.  It came on for about an hour this morning and I was able to shower, but it was just teasing us and we have had yet another day with no electricity. UNTIL NOW THAT IS.  I don't know what ConEd did and I really don't care. Its back and I needed to seize this opportunity because we're not sure if the power is here to stay.  So here is a quick look at the girl living my dream life, Karlie Kloss.  The girl is gorgeous and I have loved her since her Teen Vogue spread last year.  Above are some shots from Vogue's September issue for all of you with power to be inspired by.  Glad you're all safe.  Enjoy!

BURBERRY VS. IRENE

With hurricane Irene on it's way over to New York by late tonight, I thought about what I could possibly blog about, because there was no way I would be taking some pictures in the rain (let alone leaving my house!) Instead, I thought some weather related post would be appropriate...And then it hit me! BURBERRY! With their collosal array of trench coats (from classic to studded), what other designer brand could even come close to rainy-weather wardrobe perfection? I sure can't think of one! All of the coats below are courtesy of Burberry... TAKE THAT IRENE!

Head Bangin'

Ah yes, my hair. I have refused my mother's efforts to cut it since the seventh grade, and just when I was about to go butt-length...

I chopped that shiz off son.

And because that wasn't enough for me, I just threw some bangs in too! I've decided I enjoy change, and just think of how much easier this is for me now!

I always like to start the new school year with something different, big or small, a change is always needed for people to stop and stare for a moment to figure out what you've done. I love it.  I went for the more obvious change this year, and I think a new color for this 'do will be coming up shortly! I will miss running my fingers through what seemed like mile-long hair, however it is so much healthier now, and EVERYONE needs that. Have you done anything drastic to your look lately reader?? If not, I say go for for it.  Live for the moment! No day but today! Carpe Diem!

Spring Ahead into Fall

This was a two-in-one post of Valeria and I re-creating Spring 2011 looks as well as showing off our transition pieces for this upcoming fall.  A knitted sweater and a utility jacket are good ways to balance  some spring pieces such as dresses, skirts, or shorts.  Perfect for a pre-fall wardrobe! As you can see, we cannot wait for the breezier days ahead to wear as many layers as our hearts desire, a.k.a. at least three.  So enjoy what's left of the summer, as we dreadfully await the approaching school year.

White Shadows

I've begun a collection for my newest obsession: necklaces with everyday objects! I've got some other cute ones and this collection continues to grow, so get pumped for some more of that.

  White. It's simple, unlike figuring out what to write in this post.  We figured we would wear some white on white before labor day. They, whoever they are, say that white after labor day is JUST PLAIN TACKY.  We beg to differ.  In fact, expect an all white post soon after labor day. Either way, white is always a great way to show off that sun kissed skin!

Glam Girl

Okay so I guess this is slightly old news, but I didn't have time to post it when it was current news! So you get to see it now. Who else cannot believe that it is Kristen Stewart in these photos?! I've been a pretty consistent fan of her style, but we all know she is more than a little awkward and less feminine than others. However, these photos would never let you guess that! LOOK AT THAT HAR AND MAKEUP! I want. This also goes back to my sixties post with her sky high hair and the winged liner.  If school wasn't such a casual place I would totally try to re-create her makeup.  The darkened eye-brows are perfectly balanced by the powdery pink lips. This is a new Kristen Stewart here. This is g-l-a-m...o-r-o-u-s...glamorous! (Fergie reference duhhh)
