Twin-speration

This picture of Ashley is my definition of the perfect smokey eye and pouty lip.

Okay, so I know that in the past Mary-Kate and Ashley have gotten a bad rap, but once a fan, always a fan! Ever since I was little I've loved their movies.  They always consist of the same thing, the two gorgeous sisters traveling somewhere incredible, going on risky adventures, and, of course, ending up with the perfect boys.  I idolized these two! So if I'm being honest, I have to admit that for the week and a half that I was out of school sick, I watched every MK and A movie that I own. It brings me back to a time of innocence and care free living!  As for their style, the combination of wavy locks, grunge frocks, sweet shades, and oversized outerwear seems perfect to me!  OH and I can always tell them apart, their faces are different to me.  Well this post has inspired me to have another movie night with my two favorite girls! Enjoy!
xoxo Liz

P.S. During my week of MK and A movies I texted my friend Andrew about it asking if had ever watched their movies.  His reply: "HELL NO, wait, they're the ones from the Parent Trap right?"  I flipped. Movie night for Andrew soon.

September Sun Inspiration

Taylor Tomasi Hill: Style and Accessories Director at Marie Claire

{Pattern play at its finest}

Taylor is literally my idol. I know I tend to abuse the word, but I really do idolize this girl...career-wise at the very least! To peek inside her closet would be a dream! No matter where she's running off to, whether it's a fashion show in Paris or running around New York City, she always looks fashionable, original, and completely on-trend. I would love to just switch lives with her for a day; running around the city, tracking down the latest designer shoes, going to private collection viewings...if only! Anyway, choosing only a few of my favorite looks for this post was one of the most difficult choices I've made in my 16 years on this planet. So, of course I had to split it up into two parts. I chose today's looks as inspiration for those warm fall days we all love! You know, the ones wear throwing a blazer, knit sweater, scarf, or boots to go along with your dress is really all you need! A.K.A. my favorite days!

Idolize This

Oh gosh! It feels as though it's been forever since I've blogged to you people!  What you may not know, however, is that I've been sick and out of school for about two weeks and therefore too depressed to leave my bed.  BUT OH HOW I'VE MISSED THIS!  Today I'm showing you one of my newest idols, the blogger behind Flashes of Style , Bonnie Barton.  I was led to her site from another blog I follow, and I instantly knew I'd be posting this.  Her style defines my ideal wardrobe.  Its feminine, its super classy, its trendy, its ADORABLE.  Its so independent woman on the go, exactly what I want to look like in my future college days.  She also really rocks a bolo hat, does she not?! Girls like her make me think I should buy hats, and then I remember I look terrible in hats. Basically her images will be plastered in my mind as I'm fall shopping, not in a creepy way, but you get me right?

P.S. The last shot is of her and her boyfriend. * cue sighs of jealousy *

INSPI(RED)

Just taking a look back at some of the inspiration for dying my hair!

 {Amy Adams, above and below. Her hair is gorgeous, especially in the sunlight!}

 {Emma Stone}

{Kristen Stewart, in a perfectly messy braid}

{Taylor Tomasi Hill}
And yes, I will continue to show you this picture of Taylor wearing a top from one of my absolute favorite Proenza Schouler collections until I decide you dear readers have had enough.  I just love the combination of her red hair against the blue!

Joanna Hillman

JOANNA HILLMAN: Senior Fashion Market Editor, Harper's Bazaar

Right about now is when I would normally tell you the basic pieces or "formula" to dressing like Joanna. However, there really is no way to sum it all up... I admire her style because you never know what to expect!  Joanna loves mixing prints, colors, and textures to create a look that's all her own.

1st Period Inspiration

After pressing the snooze button a million times this morning, I figured today would just be another typical day of school; that is until first period English. We were discussing reading projects and suggestions on allowed books to read, when all of a sudden I hear the following title escape from the mouth of my teacher: The Devil Wears Prada. What other book could possibly make this class bearable enjoyable? NONE. Clearly, it was meant to be...

So, I thought it would be quite appropriate for today's quick post to show some of fashion magazine's coolest editors and directors. And you can bet I'll be posting some outfit inspiration pictures of some of my favorites like Joanna Hillman and Taylor Tomasi Hill (pictured above)!

Wish list: Oversized Clutch

{Karen Blanchard of Where did u get that }
{Liz Cherkasova of Late Afternoon }
{Above and below: Leandra Medine of the Man Repeller }

{Emily Schuman of Cupcakes and Cashmere }

Clearly I am always looking to my favorite bloggers for fashion inspiration, and as you can see, they all rock the oversized clutch!  I'm desperate for one! No matter what the season, this item is fashionable and functional...how often does that happen?  Its a perfect size to hold all of your necessities when you're in a situation that an over the shoulder bag wouldn't be appropriate.  I for one am ALWAYS the girl at parties who's little clutch is packed so tightly with my must-haves that it feels like a brick.  Thats why I guarantee that on my next shopping trip I'll be on the lookout for an one of these babies!
