DIY Inspiration

This Fall, Charlotte Ronson was one of my favorite collections! My three favorite looks actuall sevre as perfect do-it-yourself inspiration. Those cut-up stockings look super cool and easy to do as well. I'm not quite sure how easily the cut out polka dots would hold their shape, but I am more than willing to give it a try. And when I do, you dear readers will be the first to see it!

Rule Breakers

{Kelly Framel of The Glamourai}

{Lea Michele}

These pictures have been on my desktop for too long, I figured now was the time to show you that fashion is completely about breaking the rules.  All my childhood I remember hearing that navy and  lack should never mix, clearly this is a myth! Just by looking at the above pictures it's obvious that navy blue and black compliment each other very well.  When I first saw the picture of Rumi I was in shock!  Ever since, I have learned to question the supposed "rules of fashion," no white after labor day?  HAH. I laugh in your face. Break the rules people.

Just Can't Get Enough

Emma Roberts just can't get enough of her Proenza Schouler PS1 bags...and who can blame her? The PS1 at the top of my wishlist for sure! It's versatility and practical size is just perfect, like all other things Proenza!

NYU Visit

Yes, yes. I know this isn't fashion.  But this blog is not limited to fashion people! This blog is art, food, culture, music, style, design...it's life! I recently visited NYU, and what you see in the photo above is Washington Square, the basic heart of NYU's campus.  The school was absolute perfection, but how could it not be?! This is what you see when you look out the window.  That arch is just magical to me, and the entire area was crawling with the colorful locals, so artsy and unique.  I loved the atmosphere, and I would recommend everyone taking a visit to the big apple!

Wishlist

So I've been browsing Threadsence quite a lot lately, and today I decided it was time to show you all the looks that I've been crushing on.  I hate to say this, for fear of a lack of creativity on my part, but if I could buy the exact pieces that make up each of these outfits...I would.  I just don't have that kind of dough though. YAY RHYMES.  Back to the clothes, a trend here? Functional yet absolutely fashionable footwear.  With winter literally rushing towards us, I've been looking into functional lace up boots such as these.  A second trend seen in two of the photos, asymmetrical hem lines! I'm pretty sure I own nothing that has this and lately I've fallen in love! Something about it just catches the eye and makes it more interesting.  Final trend I swear, showing the legs! Even in winter, if I have the option to not wear jeans, I take it.  Lately I've been doing mini-skirts with knee-high boots, but why not reverse this? Dresses or skirts that come below the knee and a pair of ankle boots. Perfection
